Kit for thoracentesis
The device is used for aspiration of pleuric exudate.
The kit contains everything necessary for performing thoracentesis (needles, syringe and collection bag).
The aspiration set is highly versatile in use due to availability of different needle coonfigurations which differ in dimension and operating characteristics.
• Trio of 55 mm needles available in the diameters 14G, 16G and 19G
• Trio of 80 mm needles available in the diameters 14G, 16G and 19G
• Veress needle with atraumatic retractable tip.
The "TORAMATIC" device allows safe aspiration as a result of being equipped with one-way valves which prevent re-infusion of any of the aspirated fluid back to the patient.
As an alternative to the "TORAMATIC" Bioservice offers the "TORASET" version, equipped with a tightly sealed 3-way stopcock with directional indicators of the fluid aspiration and subsequent drainage into the bag.
The device is supplied in EtO sterilized packaging
