Kit for paracentesis
The device is used for aspiration of ascitic fluid.
The kit contains everything necessary for performing paracentesis (needles, syringe and collection bag).
The set is available with graduated bags in different capacities:
• 2-litre bag (Model PARASET 2)
• 5-litre bag (Model PARASET 5)
• 8-litre bag (Model PARASET 8)
• 12-litre bag (Model PARASET 12)
All the bags are fitted with a non-return valve and drainage tap.
The device is equipped with a tightly sealed 3-way stopcock with directional indicators of the fluid aspiration and subsequent drainage into the bag.
"PARASET" contains a cannula needle which ensures that the paracentesis procedure is less traumatic for the patient. After perforation and subsequent extraction of the internal metal cannula, the flexible catheter which remains inserted in the patient prevents any type of internal trauma.
The catheter reassumes its original form after any accidental bending, thus preventing obstruction of the drainage fluid passage.
On request of the customer, cannula needles with different dimensions are available.
The kit can also be made up with a Veress needle.
The device is supplied in EtO sterilized packaging.
